CIRILO, A Legacy Untold chronicles the inspiring journey of Cirilo McSween, a Panamanian immigrant who defied Jim Crow-era racism to achieve the American Dream. A trailblazing entrepreneur and civil rights leader, McSween fought for economic justice, leaving a lasting impact in both Panama and Chicago.
Narrated by GRAMMY winner Ann Nesby, with an original score by Emmy winner Maverick Turner, the film honors McSween’s legacy of resilience and hope.
Following its award-qualifying theatrical run at Atlanta’s Tara Theatre (Feb. 14-20, 2025), the film is now heading to the domestic and international festival circuit.
